Introduction

Launched in September of 2008, WHP’s Collaborative Housing Program is actively working on four revitalization projects, all of which receive support from Los Angeles’ most renowned and leading cultural institutions, among them, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Hammer Museum, ArtPlace and LA><ART. WHP’s goal is to expand its renovations to the front and backyards as well as interiors and exteriors of the residential properties on the block. In addition, WHP seeks to contribute to the legacy of transformative art and architecture on E.107th Street. Each of our house projects are in the predevelopment phase and are a collaboration between an artist, architect and the residents of the home.
